We are starting pre season touch rugby on Sat 4th June (http://hatfieldrugby.co.uk/2011/05/21/summer-touch-rugby-off-season-2011/), it’d be great if you can come along.
1st team are in Herts/Middlesex 3, and the 2nd team are in the Hertfordshire Merit Table 5.

Hey guys, I came to a few training sessions last year, at the time I was not old enough to play so I was told to play with my old club (Stevenage) and I have been, Is it ok for me to come back towards the end of this year/start of next as im 18 in January.

Hello mate, we usually meet at 7 till 9, Tuesday and Thursdays at Roe Hill Hall. But that’s during season, at the moment, we’re just meeting on Saturday’s at about 2ish for touch rugby at Roe Hill. However, think we have a boot camp starting in a couple of weeks at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn, would be great if you could get to either of those. Keep an eye on the website, as a post wil go up about touch and the bootcamp. Or pop us your mobile number, and we’ll stick you in the text group

Just moved to Hatfield from Somerset. I used to play for Wellington RFC who play in the Tribute Western Counties West league. Haven’t played since November 2010 but am keen to get back into the swing of things. Training on weekdays may be an issue as I work unusual shifts but am available every Saturday. So if you’re looking for a 6ft4 15st utility back let me know and I’ll be more than happy to help out the best I can. Always up for a good social too which I’m sure you can appreciate

I have never played rugby before, but I am interested in starting. I have previously done Judo and Rowing and I Rugby seems like a good one to pick up. I am starting work in Hatfield in September is there any chance of joining your club?

In the history profile for Hatfield RFC there is confusion as to the origins…..The BAe social club ran several sporting sides, including DeHavilland RFC, in the 80′s running 3 sides. Hatfield former president, Chris Henshaw was also the DeHavilland chairman. Several players from QE11 also played for DeHavillands, and when the club demised (either due to fall out with the social club, or the closure of BAe), they approached Hatfield Council and were given use of pitches at Roe Hill. The rest as they say is history.
If anyone remembers me from those days, please drop me a line – I emigrated to Queensland, Oz in ’91 and names from those days are hazy….Dave Buckley, Dave Wallace, Pete Brett, Trevor Nicholson, Rudi Swanston, Hugh Lacey…..

Adrian, I’m afraid we don’t at the moment. We’re definately interested in expanding our club to incorporate a minis squad, but that may be a few years off yet.
